The goal of 4-H is to develop citizenship, leadership, responsibility, and life skills of youth through experiential learning programs and a positive youth development approach.

As participants in both 4-H and FIRST® programs, students receive hands-on training in a variety of STEAM fields and soft skills including EHS, fabrication, project management, problem solving, hand tools, power tools, CAD, 3-D printing, computers, programming, electrical, marketing, graphic design, photography, videography, journalism, event planning, public speaking, essay writing, grant writing, outreach, citizenship, teambuilding, organization, and leadership.
