FIRST exists to prepare the young people of today for the world of tomorrow and to transform our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology leaders.
As participants in both 4-H and FIRST® programs, students receive hands-on training in a variety of STEAM fields and soft skills including EHS, fabrication, project management, problem solving, hand tools, power tools, CAD, 3-D printing, computers, programming, electrical, marketing, graphic design, photography, videography, journalism, event planning, public speaking, essay writing, grant writing, outreach, citizenship, teambuilding, organization, and leadership.
